· TDaP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis)- Due to an increase in diagnosed cases of Pertussis (WhoopingCough), the TD vaccine now contains the Pertussis vaccine as well. Boosters are recommended every 5 years after age 5.
· Menactra (The Meningococcal Vaccine)- This vaccine is recommended beginning at age 11.
· HPV (Human Papillomavirus Vaccine)- This vaccine can be given to girls starting at 9 years of age, given in a series of 3 over 6 months.
· Varivax (The Chicken Pox Vaccine)- A booster is required if not received between 4 and 6 years of age.
· Prevnar-13 (The Pneumococcal Vaccine)- This booster vaccine is required by the state of Georgia for all children under the age of 5.
· VEP=Visual Evoked Potential—screening test for amblyopia and other visual deficits. |
